This is not a traditional application support role. It is a consultative technical role that combines enterprise systems analysis, business process understanding, AI opportunity identification and stakeholder influence across EMEA.
Qualcomm business teams rely on enterprise systems to execute critical processes across functions such as finance, sales, operations, HR, supply chain, engineering support and corporate services. As AI capabilities become embedded into enterprise applications and business workflows, IT needs strong regional business partners who can identify practical, value-driven use cases. EMEA requires a role that can understand regional business realities, ensure enterprise platforms are being used effectively, and represent business needs clearly to global application and delivery teams. The successful candidate will help bridge business intent, system capability, process adoption and technical execution.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 5+ years of IT-relevant work experience with a Bachelor's degree OR 7+ years of IT-relevant work experience without a Bachelor’s degree.
- Completed advanced degrees in a relevant field may be substituted for up to two years (Master’s = one year, Doctorate = two years) of work experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Enterprise systems analysis and optimisation
- Analyse complex business problems and identify how automated systems, enterprise applications and AI-enabled capabilities can help solve them.
- Assess existing business processes and system usage to identify opportunities for simplification, standardisation, automation and improved adoption.
- Provide technical expertise in evaluating, defining and improving systems and procedures that are cost effective and meet user requirements.
- Create and review functional and system specifications that translate business needs into actionable requirements for application owners and delivery teams.
- Support configuration analysis, user acceptance planning and validation of delivered changes where appropriate.
AI enablement and business process innovation:
- Identify opportunities to apply AI, generative AI, intelligent agents, workflow automation and enterprise data capabilities to improve business efficiency and decision-making.
- Partner with business stakeholders to define practical AI use cases, expected outcomes, adoption considerations and measurable value.
- Promote responsible and effective use of Qualcomm-approved AI capabilities within enterprise business processes.
- Help business teams understand where AI can augment existing enterprise applications and where AI-specific solutions may deliver new efficiency or insight.
- Represent business problems and AI opportunities to technical teams in a clear, structured and prioritised way.
Business engagement and regional partnership:
- Build trusted relationships with EMEA business leaders, functional teams and key users to understand priorities, pain points and operating models.
- Act as a regional IT advisor for enterprise business systems and AI-enabled process improvement opportunities.
- Facilitate workshops, discovery sessions and process reviews with business and technical stakeholders.
- Ensure EMEA business requirements are represented effectively to global IT delivery teams.
- Support change adoption by helping business teams understand, use and realise value from enterprise systems and new capabilities.
Cross-functional execution and influence:
- Lead collaboration with systems analysts, application owners, business partners and subject matter experts to document recommendations and drive improvements.
- Participate in project review sessions to communicate status, discuss complex issues and support prioritisation decisions.
- May lead cross-functional linked teams to address business or systems issues.
- Help manage priorities, deadlines and deliverables for assigned initiatives, ensuring work is aligned to business outcomes.
- Use strong communication, influence, cooperation and diplomacy to resolve challenges across teams and geographies.

- Experience working with business stakeholders, technical teams and subject matter experts.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain complex topics to audiences with varying levels of technical knowledge.
- Ability to work independently with little supervision and exercise sound judgement on moderately complex or high-impact decisions.
Preferred qualifications and experience:
- 2+ years of experience leading informal teams or cross-functional initiatives.
- Experience with enterprise platforms such as Oracle, Salesforce, ServiceNow, Workday, Databricks, enterprise data platforms or similar business systems.
- Experience in business process improvement, digital transformation, application adoption or value realisation.

- Understanding of generative AI, enterprise copilots, intelligent agents, workflow automation or AI-enabled productivity tools.
- Experience operating in a global organisation and collaborating with distributed delivery teams across multiple regions.
- Experience presenting recommendations, business cases or solution options to senior stakeholders.
Candidate Profile:
- A technically credible systems analyst who is comfortable working directly with business teams.
- Curious about how business processes work and how technology can improve them.
- Able to move between strategic discussion, detailed process analysis and practical delivery follow-up.
