The Talent and Development Manager is responsible for the design, development and implementation of global talent processes and programs aligned to the HR and enterprise strategy. This role will also have a focus on Talent Development needs in the EMEA region. They will provide specialized knowledge of Organizational Development and Learning principles and collaborate with HR and business leaders on practical approaches to Performance Management, Learning and Development, Talent Planning and Change Management. As a trusted advisor, they possess consultative skills and advocate for opportunities to integrate, coordinate and simplify to better meet the needs of the business.
What will you do?
- Conduct needs assessments to inform learning, development and career planning deliverables – operate as an internal consultant with HR and Business Leads for ongoing learning and development needs.
- Design, develop and deliver learning and development programs for employees and leaders, as well as bespoke business programs as needed.
- Support the design and implementation of talent management tools, training, and processes including talent assessment and planning, performance management, development planning and change management.
- Focus on continuous improvement of existing processes, programs and services.
- Partner with the talent team, HR and departments to support the activation of talent processes and programs locally.
- Provide thought leadership and consultation on a range of topics, including performance enablement, leadership development, career and succession planning and learning investment plans.
- Select and manage vendors who are responsible for partnering to deliver talent development solutions.
- Develop and maintain metrics to gauge the success of learning programs and enable data driven decisions.
- Build and refine LMS processes that can be leveraged for key learning tasks such as participant registration, pre-work notifications, course delivery, assessments, etc.
- Support additional learning programs within adjacent functional groups (compliance, safety, procurement, etc.).
What are we looking for?
- Bachelor’s degree in HR Management, Psychology, Organization Development or related field.
- Certification in assessment and psychometric tools preferred.
- 5+ years’ experience in learning and organization development.
- 3+ years’ experience facilitating in-person and virtual training in a business environment.
- 3+ years’ experience working in a global, matrixed organization.
- Experience implementing competency models and related development programs preferred.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills; expertise with PowerPoint.
- Strong facilitation, coaching and training/platform skills; experience with conducting needs analysis, learning program design/development and delivery; deep understanding of organization development and group dynamics.
- High level of consultation, collaboration and service orientation, supported by excellent interpersonal skills.
- Ability to develop pragmatic business-minded solutions with a continuous improvement mindset.
- Strong project management, budgeting and vendor management skills.
- Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form.
- Math Ability: Ability to compute rate, ratio and percent, and to draw and interpret metrics/reports.
- Computer Skills: Proficient in MS Office, Learning Management Systems (LMS) and eLearning suites.
