Based in Coventry, you will join our Global Fluid Intelligence™ team as an Equipment Service Engineer. In this role, you will work across our European customer base, installing, maintaining, and servicing Quaker Houghton equipment. QH FLUID INTELLIGENCE™ is a fully digital and automated solution that provides real-time monitoring and control of fluid performance and cost. It enables our customers to enhance productivity and sustainability while reducing waste, risk, and total cost of ownership.

What will you do?

  • Survey customer sites in advance of equipment supply and installation
  • Undertake all aspects of equipment installation and commissioning
  • Perform scheduled servicing of manual and automated plant at client sites, including cleaning, inspection, and testing in line with standard procedures
  • Conduct detailed audits of plant and machinery, identifying faults and repair requirements
  • Install, repair, and maintain manual and automated equipment at client locations
  • Generate and specify detailed material lists for service, maintenance, and installation work
  • Complete comprehensive service reports and job-related documentation
  • Act as a company ambassador, promoting Quaker Houghton products and services while on-site and in all client interactions
  • Demonstrate a strong personal commitment to Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmental standards, applying both company and client policies where appropriate
  • Provide training and share knowledge with team members and customers
  • Carry out other duties as required in support of the company’s business
  • Travel approximately 70% annually to customer manufacturing sites across EMEA

What are we looking for?

  • Education: Qualified Mechanical/Electrical Engineer (mechanical bias preferred)
  • Experience: Minimum of 4 years’ experience in a similar, customer-facing service engineer role
  • Technical Skills: Proven experience with pneumatics, heating and cooling systems, control systems, pumping systems, process valves, instrumentation, steam heating systems, etc.
  • Experience installing capital equipment
  • Familiarity with PLCs, HMIs, and SCADA systems
  • Ability to read and interpret pneumatic, electrical, mechanical, and P&ID diagrams
