A bit about what you will be doing:

We are looking for a passionate and guest-centric Assistant Reception Manager to join our team at Quaglino's. In this pivotal role, you'll support the Reception Manager in ensuring the smooth running of our Restaurant. You'll be responsible for managing calls, enquiries, and reservations with grace and efficiency, while also taking the lead in the absence of the Reception Manager.

Your key duties & responsibilities would include:

  • To be responsible for running lunch/dinner service, prepare table allocations and ensure that cloakroom/reception is ready at all times.
  • To ensure all guest interaction is professionally handled, understanding the philosophy of “the first impression”.
  • To take reservations correctly and with respect of the policies when necessary.
  • To ensure clear communication between reservations and reception teams as well as an effective communication to all other departments, informing them of customers’ bookings, needs & complaints.
  • Manage the front desk by receiving incoming calls, greeting and attending guests' needs.
  • To mentor/train staff through leading by example and support recruitment process in creating an outstanding candidate's experience.
  • To look after reception appearance and presence - Understand relevant H&S legislation and the implications on the business, taking action as required.
  • Cost control and financial budgeting alongside the Senior Reception and Reservations Manager.
