Arena is a global investment management firm that seeks to generate attractive risk adjusted, consistent and uncorrelated returns by employing a fundamentals based, asset-oriented financing and investing strategy across the entire credit spectrum in areas where conventional sources of capital are scarce. Through originations and acquisitions of asset-oriented investments across a wide array of commercial and consumer asset types (including but not limited to private direct corporate and commercial real estate bridge lending), the investment team specializes in off-the-run, stressed, distressed, illiquid and esoteric special situation transactions. Through on-the-job experience and regular training sessions, analysts will be exposed to various corporate finance and security analysis concepts including credit analysis, financial modeling, business model and capital structure, and fixed income and equity securities, among others. In addition to finance and security analysis, analysts will also learn important application of law with respect to buy-side investing as well as establishing critical corporate soft skills for successful careers in the financial industry. Each analyst will serve as a generalist assisting members of the investment team with industry and company due diligence, financing modeling, investment memorandum preparation, and other ad-hoc projects.
Ideal candidates will have a demonstrated interest in finance and investing; thrive in an intense, team-oriented environment; and be highly organized, self-motivated, and resourceful.
