Quadra Utility Locating is looking for driven, dedicated and independent people to join our team and the growing field of utility locating. As the leading utility locate provider in British Columbia, we work on the biggest, most demanding and most challenging projects. Our clients know we are the team that can provide them with fast, reliable and accurate service. Being COR-certified, we take the safety of our team and everyone we share a site with very seriously.
Duties
- Our locators will be presented daily with sites where they will be challenged to find subsurface utilities.
- A locator will use Electromagnetic (EM) Locators and Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR).
- As their training continues, locators will learn to use GPS surveying and other tools as our services and client demands grow.
- Our locators are trusted with their own assigned vehicles for which they’re responsible.
- We expect our locators to complete all their site visits in a safe, responsible and professional manner.
- Our more experienced locators will work on more demanding sites with more challenging utility configurations.
- Pipeline inspections, pipeline protection, chamber inspections, utility line strike investigation reports and surveying are all aspects of our field that our experienced field hands are trusted with.
Applicant Requirements
- Able to work full time
- Able to pass a drug prescreening test and 50lb fit for duty test
- Able to read, or learn to read, technical drawings and plans
- Forward thinkers able to take the initiative and solve technical challenges
- Must be weather resilient, we work rain or shine
- Valid BC driver's license
- Previous Utility Locate experience a plus - Looking for 5+ Years Experience
- Archeological/Construction/Geophysical/Geology industry experience a plus
