Full time Senior Legal Counsel (6-month FTC)
Location: London – United Kingdom
Reporting to the General Counsel of Europe and IO, the interim Senior Legal Counsel for CE will be primarily responsible for the first level of legal support for the UKI region. The role has a broad coverage and will be suited to someone who enjoys variety. This position is UK based, preferably in London, and will be a hybrid role, requiring 2 days/week in our Stratford, London office.
Your role in our future
- Managing regional corporate governance (with the help of external counsel);
- Drafting, reviewing and negotiating a wide range of commercial agreements for different business lines (including both software and hardware offerings) and business models (e.g., License, SaaS, Leasing, One-time sales, etc.), including complex, high-value software license agreements, services agreements, reseller and partnership agreements, subcontracting agreements, and non-disclosure agreements with large customers who operate in various sectors;
- Providing general commercial legal support to the Sales team and day-to-day operational support for the business as a trusted legal advisor;
- Legal monitoring and internal training towards commercial and operational teams;
- Contributing to implement and develop company policies and procedures at a regional level, and advising internal clients on a broad array of issues and risks to ensure compliance with company policies and applicable law;
- Participating and supporting global projects;
- Collaborating with the broader legal team in other regions;
- Timely management reporting on deals, budget, and litigation activities;
- Providing legal support to HR, Finance, Credit collection, or other departments.
Your profile
- Excellent knowledge of commercial contracts along with astute negotiation skills (ability to present, handle objections, and negotiate contracts with a “win-win” approach);
- Solid commercial experience and sound judgement;
- Good knowledge of corporate matters and intellectual property law;
- 7-10 years working experience in an internationally operating IT company as in-house counsel;
- Excellent drafting and negotiating skills;
- Autonomous, dynamic with an entrepreneurial spirit;
- Proactive, self-confident with a commercial mindset;
- Resilient and calm under pressure with a strong business acumen;
- Flexible approach, ability to seek and find solutions with analytic, synthetic, and pragmatic approach;
- A team player with strong communication and interpersonal skills with a positive attitude allowing you to interact effectively with many people of varying levels of responsibility, background, and culture.
