About the role
We are looking for an experienced, enthusiastic childcare professional to support our Area Manager across our breakfast and after-school clubs in High Wycombe.
This is a hands‑on role combining support for our club teams, implementation of improvement plans and practical staffing cover. You will help ensure children receive safe, engaging and welcoming care, with consistently high standards across every site.
Key responsibilities
Support the Area Manager in ensuring best practice across all clubs.
Work alongside club leaders and staff, offering guidance and modelling good practice.
Implement action plans where improvements have been identified, monitor progress and report back to the Area Manager.
Provide practical on‑site support and help teams organise and use the resources needed to deliver effective sessions.
Use your EYFS knowledge to support younger children’s learning, development and wellbeing.
Promote safeguarding, positive behaviour and an inclusive environment.
Build positive relationships with children, parents, school staff and colleagues.
Identify concerns and help the Area Manager and club teams resolve them promptly.
Provide on‑site cover for sickness and other staff absences when not undertaking planned support visits, stepping into the daily running of breakfast and after‑school sessions as needed.
An EYFS background or Level 3 Childcare Qualification, gained as a teacher, nursery nurse, after‑school club worker or through a similar role working with early years children.
A sound understanding of children’s development and age‑appropriate care and activities.
Confidence supporting colleagues and helping teams improve their practice.
Strong communication, organisation and problem‑solving skills.
A flexible, reliable approach and willingness to work across approximately seven to eight sites.
