Trainee Learner Engagement Officer

Trainee Learner Engagement Officer Are you confident speaking to people and looking for an opportunity to develop a career in recruitment and training? Quack Recruitment & Training is looking for a motivated and reliable Trainee Learner Engagement Officer to help people access our funded training programmes and Skills Bootcamps. Previous experience in learner engagement is not essential, as training and support will be provided. We are looking for someone with a strong work ethic, a professional telephone manner and a willingness to learn. Responsibilities for the Trainee Learner Engagement Officer role will be: * Contact prospective learners by telephone, email and other approved channels to discuss our training opportunities. * Make regular outbound calls and follow up enquiries to help suitable applicants progress towards enrolment. * Explain course content, entry requirements, attendance expectations and employment opportunities accurately. * Learn how to identify applicants’ goals, circumstances and support needs, referring queries to experienced colleagues where necessary. * Support eligibility checks and the collection of enrolment documents, following our procedures. * Help learners complete their applications and prepare for their course start. * Maintain accurate records of calls, enquiries, follow-up actions and enrolments using PICS and other internal systems. * Keep in contact with applicants before their start date, helping resolve issues that could prevent them attending. * Support relationships with referral partners, including Jobcentre Plus and community organisations. * Work towards agreed targets for learner contact, enrolments and course starts. * Work with tutors and colleagues to ensure a clear handover of learner information and support needs. * Follow safeguarding, confidentiality and data protection procedures. Requirements for the Trainee Learner Engagement Officer role will be: * A strong work ethic, reliable attendance and good timekeeping. * A positive, professional attitude and willingness to take responsibility for your work. * Confidence speaking on the telephone and willingness to make regular outbound calls. * Good computer skills, including email, Microsoft Word, Excel and online systems. * Clear communication skills and the ability to build rapport with different people. * Good organisation and attention to detail when handling information and paperwork. * Persistence with follow-up calls and the ability to remain professional when people do not respond or decline an opportunity. * The ability to manage agreed tasks, meet deadlines and ask for support when needed. * A willingness to receive feedback, complete training and put learning into practice. * An interest in helping people develop their skills and move towards employment. Previous experience in customer service, sales, recruitment, administration or a telephone-based role would be beneficial, but is not essential. Training and support provided will include: * An introduction to our courses, Skills Bootcamps and learner recruitment processes. * Training on telephone engagement, handling enquiries and following up applicants. * Guidance on learner eligibility, enrolment paperwork and accurate record keeping. * Training on PICS and our internal systems. * Ongoing coaching, feedback and support as you develop in the role.
