Are you passionate about sharing your trade knowledge and helping people start careers in construction? Do you have experience delivering hands-on training or mentoring others on-site? Quack Recruitment & Training is looking for a skilled and motivated Construction Tutor to deliver our fully funded Construction Skills Bootcamp in Walsall, as part of our wider programme supporting learners into employment in groundworks, site safety, and civil engineering. Responsibilities for the Construction Tutor role will be: * Deliver face-to-face training aligned to the Highfield Level 1 Award in Health & Safety in a Construction Environment and the Level 2 Award in Retrofit and Construction, and Level 3 in Assessing Competence in the Work Environment. * Support learners to complete both classroom-based and practical tasks that build toward the CSCS card and skilled worker pathways. * Coach learners on topics such as site safety, groundworks, manual handling, and industry expectations. * Prepare learners for progression into roles such as labourer, groundworker, or site operative. * Track learner attendance and engagement and help them complete practical workbooks and assessments. * Liaise with the wraparound team to ensure job outcomes and interview opportunities are aligned to learner goals. * Promote positive behaviours, teamwork, and punctuality in a structured training environment. * Deliver content using provided lesson plans, slides, and resources – no planning needed. * Maintain accurate records, portfolios, and registers in line with compliance and funding requirements. * Support ILPs, attendance monitoring, and milestone tracking with the admin team. Requirements for the Construction Tutor role will be: * Industry experience in groundworks, general construction, or civil engineering operations. * An assessing qualification (e.g., CAVA, A1, or equivalent) – or willing to work towards it. * A teaching qualification (e.g., AET, PTLLS) is desirable but not essential. * Knowledge of CSCS card preparation and construction site protocols. * Comfortable delivering both theory and practical elements of construction training. * Experience working with adult learners or trainees is a bonus. * Strong communication, organisation, and behaviour management skills. * A proactive and supportive attitude toward learner success and wellbeing.
