Quack Recruitment & Training is hiring a Construction Tutor to deliver Construction and Skills Bootcamp provision aligned to real employer demand. This is not an entry-level teaching role. If you do not hold a CAVA / TAQA (or equivalent assessor qualification) and proven construction delivery experience, this is not for you. Responsibilities for the Construction Tutor role will be: * Deliver accredited construction qualifications including CSCS, Level 2 Construction Operations (Groundworks / Civils), and Retrofit-related provision where required. * Prepare learners for live site environments – not just exams. * Embed site standards including health & safety, RAMS awareness, PPE compliance, toolbox talks, and workplace behaviours. * Assess learner competence in line with awarding body standards (portfolio, observation, professional discussion). * Maintain audit-ready learner files in line with ESFA / Combined Authority funding rules. * Track attendance, progress, and milestone evidence (including progression into employment). * Work closely with IQA, Compliance, and Progressions teams to ensure quality and outcome performance. * Support learners through CSCS test preparation and card applications. * Maintain structured lesson plans, schemes of work, and assessment documentation. * Meet clear completion, achievement, and employment KPIs – outcomes matter here. Requirements for the Construction Tutor role will be: * CAVA / TAQA (Level 3 Certificate in Assessing Vocational Achievement) or equivalent * AET (Level 3 Award in Education & Training) or equivalent teaching qualification. * Proven occupational competence within Construction (Groundworks / Civils / Retrofit preferred). * Experience delivering accredited construction qualifications. * Strong working knowledge of site health & safety requirements. * Confident managing groups of adult learners, including unemployed cohorts. * Comfortable working within funded provision and compliance frameworks. * Organised, structured, and capable of maintaining accurate documentation. * Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain). Desirable: * Experience delivering Skills Bootcamps. * Knowledge of PAS 2035 and retrofit standards. * Experience supporting learners into sustained employment. * Assessor and IQA collaboration experience.
