The Director of Financial Reporting oversees the accuracy, integrity, and compliance of all financial statements and reports. This strategic role provides significant visibility across the organization, engaging with senior leadership and key stakeholders, including our parent company, Blackstone.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the preparation and timely distribution of monthly and annual reporting packages, including compilation and reporting on various performance metrics and statistics.
- Ensure timely and accurate reporting to key stakeholders across US GAAP and local GAAP, aligning US GAAP, local GAAP, and other reporting expectations.
- Act as the lead for completeness and accuracy of financials, including audits, intercompany transactions, balance sheet integrity and control.
- Leverage systems (Workday, Salesforce, Snowflake, Tableau, Excel) to identify opportunities for process enhancements and automation within financial reporting.
- Effectively communicate and explain financial metrics to various groups within the organization (e.g., accounting, strategic planning & investments, capital markets, asset management, budgeting, facility operations).
- Use finance concepts, reporting experience, and strategic thinking to resolve questions/issues in an efficient and effective manner.
- Contribute to special projects aimed at improving accounting processes, financial reporting, and overall operational effectiveness.
- Support frequent ad hoc financial reporting and analysis requests.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP and European GAAP frameworks.
- Eight or more years of relevant financial reporting, accounting, or FP&A experience.
- Experience managing statutory reporting across multiple jurisdictions.
- Strong financial analysis and technical proficiency, turning data into meaningful insights.
- Demonstrated experience collaborating with diverse stakeholders to drive results.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Qualified accountant (ACCA, ACA or CIMA).
- Proven track record of advancing responsibilities within a large, complex organization.
- Hands‑on experience with enterprise data systems for comprehensive data management and analytics.
