The predicted salary is between 22000 - 30000 Β£ per year.
The Trainee Estimator reporting to the Lead Estimator shall have the responsibility and authority for assisting production of estimates of all assigned tenders to QTS and shall, at a minimum:
- Review Tenders / Client information
- Attend site meetings as required
- Produce take-off and collate quotes for materials and from sub-contractors
- Liaise with Operational team to develop methodology
- Develop cost estimate for individual scheme
- Ensure all tender returns meet the clients' requirements
- Ensure that all estimates produced have been reviewed and checked
- Assist with reviewing awarded contracts commercial performance against forecasted at estimating stage
- Ensure the company is fully aware of the risk and opportunities involved in each tender
- Liaise and communicate between QTS and the potential client during the tender and pre-award periods, including attendance at meetings and technical queries
- Ensure a commitment to comply with requirements and continual improvement of the effectiveness of the Quality, Health & Safety and Environmental Management System
- Uphold all Company policies
- Compliance with QTS procedures
- Assist in any other aspect of the Company where required
As Trainee Estimator you will be based at Rench Farm, you will also be expected to be involved in business throughout the UK.
Preferred Qualifications: Minimum HND in Quantity Surveying or Civil Engineering or be willing to undertake course through day release. PTS and/or Site Experience preferred but not essential.
In your absence, the Lead Estimator will deputise.
