The predicted salary is between 43200 - 72000 £ per year.
Role and Responsibilities:
- Manage and lead all civil engineering activities from initial enquiry to contract completion including design, quotation, possession planning, site management and project review meetings.
- Responsible for project work including site-based activities associated with delivery of civil engineering projects, ensuring that all work is undertaken and achieved in a safe and timely manner, within budget, and to the highest standard.
- Commercial management of project portfolio.
- Deploy and manage resources to fulfil contract requirements and review project programmes/progress during the project lifecycle whilst reporting any updates or concerns to the Framework Manager/CEM.
- Undertake review of Project Managers to ensure compliance with QTS policies and standards.
- Develop, improve and create a culture in the team whereby staff are supported, mentored and have regularly reviewed development training plans in place.
- Review and plan future staff requirements.
- Actively seek new business opportunities and oversee tenders/bids relating to civil engineering work including tender handover and risk review process with the Project Team.
- Review and approve project documentation e.g. CPP, QMP, EMP, WPP & Programme and monitor compliance throughout the project lifecycle.
- Lead in all aspects of project HSQE including site safety inspections, encouraging the use of the QTS Close Call reporting system, investigation of accidents/incidents and auditing of site safety documentation.
- Carry out role of CRE (Construction) across frameworks in accordance with Network Rail standards.
- Encourage multi-disciplinary and collaborative team working to achieve the best from QTS and external supplier resources.
