The predicted salary is between 37544 - 45000 £ per year.

Role and responsibilities:

  • Undertake stripping down, overhauling and re-building of vehicles, machinery, plant and equipment belonging to QTS Group.
  • Undertake any required Engineering Change works on Railroad vehicles, plant and equipment in accordance with legislation and manufacturer’s instructions.
  • Undertake any maintenance requirements of other vehicles, plant and equipment in accordance with manufacturer’s instructions.
  • Carry out internal testing of plant and machinery when projects are completed.
  • Record all maintenance activities against each unique inventory number.
  • Ensure that all paperwork such as time sheets, maintenance records, etc. are completed timeously and returned to the Plant Compliance & Special Projects office.
  • Only operate plant and machinery on which you have been adequately trained.
  • Ensure hazardous substances are only handled in accordance with instructions.
  • Give proper consideration to all parties and persons who may be affected by the work, including the effects of noise, dust and fumes.
  • Correctly use work items provided by QTS, including Personal Protective Equipment in accordance with training and instruction.
  • Ensure all work is carried out to specifications and instructions.
  • Assist in any other aspect of the Company where required.

Skills required:

  • Must be fully qualified HGV or Plant fitter.
  • Must be familiar with the railway, maintenance and NR plant standards.
