A School Librarian is required for a long-term role starting ASAP in the London Borough of Camden. The successful candidate will manage the school library and support students with reading and research.

The Role – School Librarian
A dedicated School Librarian will be responsible for managing the day-to-day running of the school library, ensuring it remains an organised, accessible and engaging environment for students across KS3 and KS4. Responsibilities include:
- Managing the library’s book collection
- Maintaining accurate records of borrowed and returned resources
- Organising books and learning materials
- Ensuring the library remains a calm and productive space
- Assisting students with locating books, researching information and developing their independent study skills
Working closely with teaching staff and other members of the school team, you may help promote reading initiatives, support literacy activities and recommend suitable books and resources to encourage students to read for pleasure. You will also assist with maintaining library systems, monitoring resources and ensuring the library is welcoming, tidy and well organised.
The successful candidate will be organised, approachable and enthusiastic about supporting young people, with strong communication skills and the ability to encourage positive behaviour and independent learning.
