QT Education is proudly recruiting for a leading independent girls’ school in Bristol, offering education for girls aged 7 to 18. The school boasts a rich heritage in single‑sex education and is renowned for its academic achievements. In the 2025 academic year, 73% of GCSE grades were awarded at levels 9–7 (equivalent to A*–A), reflecting the school’s commitment to high academic standards.

Duties:

  • Confident teacher of Design Technology specialising in Food Technology
  • Ability to design teaching materials to sustain students’ interest in the subject
  • Interact with students, parents and faculty
  • Facilitate classroom procedures as well as practical lessons adhering to health and safety requirements
  • Set culture standards for learning
  • Monitor students’ progress in the subject
  • Ability to follow planned schemes of work to a high standard

Experience, Qualifications and Training:

  • We seek a qualified and enthusiastic teacher of Design Technology, specialising in food technology
  • Must be appropriately qualified – QTS, QTLS, PGCE or equivalent
  • Ability to teach GCSE and A ‘level food technology (advantageous)
  • Up to date Safeguarding training issued in the last year (desirable however not essential). Training will be provided
  • Suitable role for experienced teachers and early career teachers (ECT)

Eligibility to work in a teaching role:

  • Provide two professional child related references that cover the last two years
  • Enhanced DBS with Barred List check certificate which is either on the online ‘Update Service’ or be willing to apply for a new DBS certificate
