Looking for a hands-on role that keeps you active and makes a real difference in your community? We’re recruiting Waste Collection Operatives to join our dedicated team in the Caenby Corner area, supporting services across Gainsborough.
About the role: As part of our operations team, you’ll play a vital role in keeping local communities clean and safe by collecting household waste. This is a physically demanding, outdoor role that involves:
- Reporting to the main depot in Metheringham
- Manual handling and loading of waste materials
- Working outdoors in all weather conditions
- Walking long distances throughout your shift
- Working closely with colleagues to complete daily collection rounds
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys physical work, being outdoors, and contributing to an essential public service.
Hourly Rate: You will have a starting wage of £12.71 per hour. This will increase to £14.54 following 12 weeks. Overtime and Saturdays paid at time and a half. You will accrue up to 28 days holiday per year.
Working Hours: Monday to Friday 0700 start time averaging 8 hour shifts. Saturdays required on the week leading up to bank holiday.
