Looking for reliable 7.5T driving work with early starts, early finishes, and no regular weekend work? We’re currently recruiting experienced 7.5T Refuse Drivers to join a busy waste collection operation based in Alfreton.
This is a great opportunity for drivers looking for stable, ongoing work, regular weekday hours, and the potential to secure a permanent position.
As a 7.5T Refuse Driver, you’ll work alongside a team of loaders, driving designated routes across Derbyshire and completing household and commercial waste collections safely and efficiently.
- Driving a 7.5T refuse collection vehicle
- Completing designated waste collection routes across Derbyshire
- Carrying out daily vehicle safety checks
- Reporting any vehicle defects
- Completing required paperwork
- Following company Health & Safety procedures
- Working effectively alongside the loading team
Duration: This is initially a temporary position with a genuine opportunity to move onto a permanent contract for the right candidate.

Working Hours: The role is Monday to Friday, with an early start at 5:45am and a typical finish around 2:00pm.

Experience & Qualifications
- UK Category C1 (7.5T) driving licence
- A valid Driver CPC qualification
- A valid Digital Tachograph Card
- Previous 7.5T driving experience is preferred
- A good understanding of driver hours and road transport regulations
- The ability to work effectively as part of a team
- A reliable, punctual, and safety-conscious approach
- The ability to work outdoors and carry out physical duties
