Job Description
We are currently recruiting for a Class 2 (HGV) Refuse Driver to work within the Metheringham area, supporting local waste collection services.
This is a hands‑on role where you’ll be responsible for the safe and efficient collection of household waste, working as part of a team to keep the community clean and running smoothly.
Key Responsibilities:
- Driving a Class 2 refuse vehicle on planned residential routes.
- Assisting loaders with the collection of household waste when required. (Not often)
- Carrying out daily vehicle checks and reporting any defects
- Ensuring all collections are completed safely and in line withregulations
Providing a professional and courteous service to the public
Hourly Rate: Pay for this position will be £14.50 per hour.£17.00 p/h via umbrella.Overtime/Bank Holidays paid at time and a half.You will accrue up to 28 days holiday per year.Please note we do not offer sponsorship.
Working Hours: 0630 (Summer) to 0700 (All other times) start timeaveraging 8 hour shifts30 Min Breaks

Experience & Qualifications
- Valid Class 2 (Category C) licence
- Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph card
- Previous experience in refuse driving or a similar role preferred, but not essential
- Good level of physical fitness (due to the nature of the role)
- Strong team player with a positive attitude
