We are seeking a skilled Fabricator/Welder to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in welding and fabrication, with the ability to work with various materials, including steel sections and sheet metal. This role requires a keen eye for detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work while adhering to safety standards.
Responsibilities
- Fabricate components and assemblies from various materials, primarily sheet metal.
- Operate power tools and hand tools effectively to perform welding tasks.
- Assemble parts and structures according to specifications and drawings.
- Perform stick welding and other welding techniques as required.
- Conduct quality checks on finished products to ensure they meet required standards.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment, following all health and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with team members to improve processes and efficiency in fabrication tasks.
- Utilise basic maths skills to measure, cut, and shape materials accurately.
Experience & Qualifications
- Proven experience in welding and fabrication, particularly with steel sections and sheet metal.
- Proficient in using power tools and hand tools related to fabrication work.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to understand technical drawings and specifications.
- Proficient and experienced with MIG welding techniques and TIG welding is highly desirable.
- Basic maths skills for accurate measurements and calculations.
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
