We are currently recruiting for a reliable and hardworking 7.5T Refuse Driver to join our waste collection team based in Alfreton. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced driver looking for consistent weekday work with overtime opportunities.
Working alongside a team of loaders, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient collection of household and commercial waste across Derbyshire, ensuring high standards of customer service and health and safety are maintained at all times.
Key Responsibilities:- Driving a 7.5-tonne refuse collection vehicle on designated routes throughout Derbyshire.
- Working closely with a team of loaders to complete daily collection schedules.
- Conducting daily vehicle checks and reporting any defects.
- Ensuring all waste is collected safely and efficiently.
- Adhering to road traffic regulations and company health and safety procedures.
- Maintaining accurate records where required.
- Providing a professional service to residents and customers.
Duration: This position leads to a permanent contract.
Contract Type: Permanent.
Hourly Rate: £14 per hour for first 8 hours, £21 per hour anything over, and also Saturday hours.
28 days holiday per year.
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 05:45 AM starts, finish around 2pm.

Experience & Qualifications Requirements:- Valid UK Category C1 (7.5T) driving licence.
- Valid CPC qualification and Digital Tachograph Card.
- Previous experience driving a 7.5T vehicle is preferred.
- Good understanding of driver hours and road transport regulations.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Reliable, punctual, and safety-conscious approach to work.
- Physically fit and comfortable working in an outdoor environment.
