Job Description
Are you looking for short hours to top up the pension / family income? Do you have great communication skills and enjoy caring for individuals with additional needs?
Then we may have the job for you.
Working on behalf of Sheffield city council you will be assisting service users, Parents, Teachers and your driver in the safe transportation of children and young adults with additional needs from home to school or day centres, and then the return journey.
Your duties will include:
- To support the driver and parents to assist passengers to board the vehicle.
- To lift children into special seats and to make sure they are correctly secured
- To respond to the service users during the journey, and to comfort service users in distress.
- To be responsible for Messages, Monies, and Medication from parents & carers during the outbound journey, and from teachers to parents on the return journey.
- A great level of communication is key!
Hourly Rate: This role pays £12.60 per hour PAYE plus 28 days holiday. Please note we do not accept Visa Sponsorships.
Working Hours: Monday to Friday. PA’s are a 10-hour contract (7.00-8.00 and 2.00-3.00) if you are spare (turn up but don’t get used), When used the hours are 7.00-9.30ish and 2.00 till 5.00ish. 27.5 hours per week.

Requirements include:
- A full enhanced DBS is required; this can be applied for on your behalf if this isn’t something you don’t currently have.
