We are currently recruiting experienced Forklift Counterbalance Drivers to join a busy logistics operation through an agency. This is an ongoing role within a fast-paced warehouse and distribution environment, supporting the movement and storage of goods.
Key responsibilities include:
- Operating a Counterbalance Forklift Truck safely and efficiently
- Loading and unloading delivery vehicles
- Moving pallets and stock throughout the warehouse
- Stacking and storing goods in designated locations
- Assisting with stock control and inventory movements
- Supporting general warehouse duties when required
- Carrying out daily forklift safety checks
- Following all company health & safety procedures and site regulations
Duration: Ongoing, long-term agency assignment
Regular weekly work available. Potential for extended placements based on performance and business needs. Opportunity to secure long-term opportunities within the logistics sector.
Contract Type: Temporary
Hourly Rate: £12.71 per hour
Overtime available at enhanced rates (subject to client requirements). Weekly pay (depending on agency payroll terms). Ongoing support from your dedicated recruitment consultant. Opportunities for career progression within warehouse and logistics operations.
Working Hours: Shift availability will depend on site requirements and may include:
- Early shifts: 06:00 – 14:00
- Day shifts: 08:00 – 16:00
- Late shifts: 14:00 – 22:00
- Night shifts: 22:00 – 06:00 (where available)
Flexibility is required as shift patterns may vary depending on operational demand.
Experience & Qualifications:
You will need:
- Valid Counterbalance Forklift Licence (RTITB, ITSSAR, AITT or equivalent)
- Previous experience operating a Counterbalance Forklift Truck in a warehouse or logistics environment
- Strong awareness of health & safety procedures
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work as part of a team
- Good communication skills and attention to detail
- Flexibility to assist with general warehouse duties when required
