Job Description
We are currently recruiting for a Class 2 (HGV) Refuse Driver to work in the Caenby Corner (LN8) area, supporting local waste collection services.
This is a hands-on role where you will be responsible for the safe and efficient collection of household waste, working as part of a team to help keep the local community clean and well maintained.
Key Responsibilities
- Driving a Class 2 refuse vehicle on planned residential collection routes.
- Carrying out household waste collections safely and efficiently.
- Working as part of a team alongside refuse loaders.
- Assisting with loading duties when required, although this will only be occasional.
- Completing daily vehicle checks and promptly reporting any defects or issues.
- Ensuring all collections are carried out safely and in accordance with relevant regulations and procedures.
- Providing a professional, polite and courteous service to members of the public.
- Maintaining a high standard of safety and professionalism throughout each shift
Duration: Long term, perm oppertunities.
Contract Type: Temporary
Hourly Rate: £15.08 p/h for first 37 hours. All hours over paid at £22.62 (Garenteed minimum of atleast 1 hour over time each week)Minimum weekly pay: £580.58Weekly Pay28 days annual leave pro-rata

Experience & Qualifications
Valid Class 2 (Category C) licence
(Will take new passes)
Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph card
Previous experience in refuse driving or a similar role preferred, but not essential
Good level of physical fitness (due to the nature of the role)
Strong team player with a positive attitude
