Job Description: As an M3 EU Data Product Manager you will be responsible for delighting our clients by developing innovative, market-leading digital data products. This is a critical role in the Product Management function and instrumental in delivering M3 EU’s strategy and providing value to clients by bringing them closer to healthcare professionals. You will represent the needs of the pharmaceutical industry and evangelise for your products both internally and externally, as well as being a great influencer and team player.

As part of your role, you will work closely with commercial and operational teams to gather and distil relevant customer insights to create compelling data stories that meet the needs of clients and support our commercial objectives, as well as delivering on our short- and long-term business strategy. You will be accountable for your product throughout the product lifecycle; from the discovery phase of ideation and inception to planning and execution of delivery and beyond. In this role you will work closely with the Product and Data Engineering Teams to help deliver the product vision, strategy and roadmap. You will bring your vision to life by gathering and translating requirements that can be implemented by the data analysis and engineering teams to meet the needs of our clients. This is an interesting and challenging role with an opportunity to put your stamp on the future direction of M3 EU’s commercial and internal data offerings.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities Including, but not limited to the following:

  • Lead new data product development projects and support continuous improvement
  • Be the “Voice of the Customer” for our client and internal reporting needs.
  • Understand our clients, the market, and competitive and compliance landscapes.
  • Gather and analyse user data to define data product specifications.
  • Validate that new features and product improvements meet the needs of the clients and stakeholders
  • Write and refine concise requirements/user stories with acceptance criteria that convey the vision of what needs to be built
  • Initiate and foster strong relationships with stakeholders and internal clients.
  • Prioritise and communicate the data product backlog based on the overall strategy, business objectives and deadlines
  • Support the development and UAT phases of the projects as required
  • Demo, communicate and evangelise the new product features both internally and externally
  • Reflect on outputs and outcomes to suggest improvements that contribute towards the overall product vision and strategy for M3 EU

Qualifications:

  • Strong background in a Product Management role, preferably with experience in both B2B and B2C environments
  • In-depth understanding of both Waterfall and Agile software development lifecycles in a commercial/production environment
  • Strong commercial acumen with proven experience of bringing highly profitable data products to market.
  • Proven track record of discovering, defining and implementing data product features
  • An understanding of the concepts of data warehousing and how data can be leveraged to gain business insights.
  • SQL skills highly desirable
  • Data-driven and in possession of critical thinking skills to continuously improve approaches to achieve business goals as quickly as possible
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills including oral communication, presentation and lateral influencing.
  • Willing to challenge and ask questions, specifically, “why?”
  • Passionate about improving the lives of users and empathetic to user needs
  • Experience in medical media/communications and an understanding of the Pharma industry/the needs of doctors would be desirable
