Are you an experienced electrician who takes pride in high-quality work, safety, and great customer service? We’re looking for a Skilled Site Electrician to carry out installations, repairs, testing, and maintenance across a variety of domestic properties. You’ll work closely with our Electrical Supervisor and wider team to ensure every job is completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest professional standards.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Electrical Installation & Repairs
- Carry out 1st and 2nd fix electrical work in social housing properties
- Deliver general electrical repairs, maintenance, and remedial works
- Complete EICRs and testing
- Ensure all installations meet BS 7671 and NICEIC standards
- Compliance & Safety
- Follow all health & safety procedures including safe isolation and PPE usage
- Complete risk assessments and work in line with RAMS
- Report hazards or non-compliance promptly
- Testing & Certification
- Perform inspection and testing of installations
- Submit accurate test sheets and documentation for certification
- Maintain clear records for compliance and audits
- Communication & Customer Care
- Liaise with the Electrical Supervisor for job allocation and updates
- Communicate professionally with tenants, clients, and other trades
- Provide timely updates on progress and materials needed
What You’ll Bring
- NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation (or equivalent)
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS 7671)
- ECS Gold Card
- Experience working in social housing is highly beneficial
- Strong technical knowledge including EICRs, EV installs, and remedial repairs
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
