About the Role
The role will include client‑facing stakeholder engagement to capture and validate requirements and translate them into a technical interpretation that can be consumed by the Engineering team. You will operate where technology, design and human behaviour meet to deliver tangible outcomes, fast.
Responsibilities
- Define and document data migrations: clearly outline source‑to‑target mappings, data formats and transformation rules for legacy pipeline migration.
- Requirements elicitation: proactively liaise with client subject‑matter experts to capture, validate and document functional and non‑functional requirements.
- Contribute to project sprints: participate in backlog refinement meetings and define Jira tickets with the wider project teams.
- Communicate progress: deliver concise stand‑up updates and present summary updates to internal and external stakeholders in sprint reviews.
- Drive continuous improvement: support team learning in retrospective meetings.
Requirements
- Data structure knowledge: solid understanding of nested data structures such as JSON, XML and nested BigQuery tables.
- Technical proficiency: basic to intermediate understanding of SQL and data visualisation concepts.
- Requirement translation: demonstrable experience capturing requirements from operational stakeholders and translating them into a technical format for engineering.
- Autonomy and proactiveness: proven ability to work independently, proactively identify, highlight and address issues that could impact delivery timelines.
