Qmatec has a history of manufacturing drill rigs and machinery which dates back to 1966. Our machines are hugely popular in Norway and across the rest of Europe too. In line with our growth and expansion plans for 2025, we are excited to bring our products and technology to the UK and Irish Markets. We require a sales team to support this growth and it is essential to ensure the right network and support is in place for us and our customers, therefore, the ideal candidates will be self-motivated, driven and experienced individuals with previous knowledge and relationships in the construction and well drilling sectors.
Key Responsibilities- Sales and Business Development: Identify, develop and pursue new business opportunities for drill rig sales across the UK and Ireland. You will research and follow leads, make sales calls as well as promote and present our products and services. The role seeks individuals with the ability to build long lasting, trusting relationships as well as closing deals.
- Technical Expertise: Understand customer requirements and provide guidance and technical knowledge from initial enquiries and specification of Qmatec products, right through to servicing and aftermarket support.
- Client Relationship Management: Maintain existing client relationships, ensuring customer satisfaction, and gathering feedback to inform future development and sales.
- Travel and Site Visits: A valid Driving Licence is essential, as there is a requirement to travel to client sites and offices, as well as attend and represent Qmatec at industry related exhibitions, events and trade shows. Although most of the travel will be across the UK and Ireland, the initial company induction and training will take place at our Head Office in Vinje, Norway.
- Technical Skills: Previous use of/or an in-depth understanding of drill rigs, drilling equipment and different drilling methods and processes is essential.
- Sales and Communication Skills: Previous sales experience is advantageous, alongside excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Negotiation and presentation skills are also required to effectively market our products.
- Industry Knowledge: Experience or knowledge of the construction and well drilling sector is essential, whilst an understanding of UK geology and UK safety protocols is also advantageous to the sales role.
- Analytical Skills: Required for Market Research and generating your own leads. You will also identify / analyse customer needs and feedback to inform future development.
- Networking and Relationship-Building: Ability to build, understand and maintain strong, open and honest relationships with our team, our clients and industry professionals to continually support our company growth ambitions and sales targets.
