QLM is supporting a major European Co-operative with a broad portfolio of investments across the food value chain, as they look to appoint a Head of Farming - Pork. This is a newly created role, designed to strengthen how the business works across its pork supply network, bringing closer alignment between farms, processors and internal teams.
The Opportunity: Sitting between agriculture and processing, you’ll play a key role in shaping how the supply base is managed and developed. The focus is on building long-term partnerships, improving collaboration and ensuring that what’s happening on farm translates into consistent supply, factory performance and customer delivery.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Building and managing relationships with farmers, producer groups and supply partners
- Acting as the link between on-farm activity and processing operations
- Supporting the development of supply frameworks, including pricing, agreements and performance expectations
- Driving improvements in supply consistency, quality and welfare standards
- Working closely with operations and supply chain teams to align livestock availability with production plans
- Improving communication and coordination across the supply chain to reduce disruption and variability
- Contributing to the wider agricultural and supply strategy as the business continues to grow
