We are partnering with a leading Food Retail organisation to appoint a Head of Agricultural Strategy. This is a strategically important leadership role focused on strengthening relationships across agricultural supply networks, supporting long-term sourcing strategy and driving collaboration with producers and industry stakeholders. The successful candidate will play a key role in shaping agricultural engagement strategy across a complex food supply environment, working closely with suppliers, farming communities and internal commercial teams to support quality, continuity and long-term growth objectives. The role will work cross-functionally with commercial, sourcing and operational teams while acting as a key external representative across the agricultural sector.
Responsibilities will include:
- Developing and implementing agricultural partnership strategies aligned to broader commercial objectives
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with producers, suppliers and industry stakeholders
- Supporting long-term sourcing and supply continuity initiatives
- Identifying opportunities to strengthen collaboration, efficiency and performance across agricultural supply networks
- Monitoring agricultural market developments and providing strategic insight to senior leadership
- Representing the organisation across industry groups, producer forums and external stakeholder engagements
- Collaborating with internal teams across sourcing, procurement, commercial and supply chain functions
- Supporting initiatives focused on supply resilience, product quality and long-term producer engagement
