A leading, privately held food manufacturer is seeking to appoint a Supply Chain & Manufacturing Director to join its executive leadership team. This is a critical, enterprise-level role with full accountability for end-to-end manufacturing operations and supply chain performance across a complex, multi-site network. The successful individual will play a pivotal role in driving operational excellence, cost efficiency, service levels, and transformation across a high-volume, fast-paced food production environment.
Responsibilities
- Full P&L and operational responsibility for manufacturing and supply chain operations across multiple UK sites
- Lead and optimise end-to-end supply chain activities, including planning, procurement, logistics, warehousing, and manufacturing
- Drive continuous improvement, productivity, and margin enhancement through Lean, Six Sigma, and automation initiatives
- Ensure best-in-class standards in food safety, quality, health & safety, and regulatory compliance
- Partner closely with commercial, technical, and finance leadership to support growth, innovation, and customer service
- Lead, develop, and inspire a large, geographically dispersed leadership team
- Play a key role in strategic planning, capacity expansion, and operational transformation programmes
Candidate Profile
- Proven senior leadership experience in FMCG food manufacturing at Director or equivalent level
- Strong background spanning both manufacturing operations and supply chain in high-volume environments
- Demonstrated success in leading large, multi-site organisations through change and performance improvement
- Commercially astute with strong P&L ownership experience
- Track record of delivering operational excellence, cost reduction, and service improvements
- Strong people leader with the ability to build high-performing, values-driven teams
