At BestStart Prestons, learning is fun, relationships are at the heart of everything we do, and our tamariki thrive through a well-established, responsive, and emergent curriculum.

Nestled in the heart of the Prestons community, our centre is a place where children are encouraged to explore their interests, follow their curiosity, and develop a lifelong love of learning. We take pride in creating meaningful connections with whānau and fostering an environment where every child feels valued, capable, and excited to learn.

Our centre honours the rich history of the land on which we stand, a place once known for producing and sharing food within the wider community. We embrace this connection by teaching tamariki to appreciate, respect, and learn from the natural environment around them.

With four thoughtfully designed classrooms, each tailored to the developmental needs of different age groups, we provide engaging learning experiences that support every child’s individual journey. We are also proud to be an active part of the local community, with traditions such as our much-loved Halloween Cupcake Day and Gnome Hunts creating lasting memories for tamariki and whānau alike.
