We’re a team of 130 people across Aotearoa New Zealand, all passionate about heart health. Each day, we strive to improve the heart health of all people in New Zealand. We’re looking for a passionate Heart Health Promoter – South Canterbury to join our Care and Support Team. This is a 32‑hour per week, community‑based role, based in Timaru, with a focus on supporting communities across the wider South Canterbury region. In this role, you’ll champion heart health locally by raising awareness, sharing knowledge, and delivering meaningful initiatives that make a real difference. You’ll collaborate with local providers, community groups, and a supportive internal team, all while making a positive impact every day.
What You’ll Do
- Lead local programmes and education initiatives
- Represent the Heart Foundation at community events and support regional campaigns
- Create inclusive spaces for people to learn and connect
- Support individuals and whānau living with heart conditions
- Collaborate with organisations and health providers
What You’ll Bring

- Experience in health, education, community development, or a similar field

- A full NZ driver’s licence and flexibility for occasional evening or weekend events
