Duties and Responsibilities:
- CAD Operator, Development of the customers' products on CAD.
- Liaise with Customers’ engineers developing products from CAD through the prototype phases into production.
- Update the company’s drawings.
- Design and draw the company’s production tooling.
- Prototype manufacture through to serial production.
- Work with M.D. to manufacture prototype parts to meet customer requirements.
- Document each phase with interim works instructions.
- Test completed parts to drawing requirements.
- Initiate the FMEA, control plan, flow chart documentation, progressing them through the build phases into the final PPAP pack.
- Carry out ‘Run at Rate’ studies where applicable.
- Prepare IMDS for all new products as applicable.
- Liaise with Customer Quality Department in the PPAP approval process.
- Inspection of incoming goods in support of the administrator.
- Reject any batch and issue 8D report to supplier.
- Manage 8D Reporting system for supply base.
- Maintain Quality objectives.
- Inspect part to FPI or customer drawing.
- Complete supplier ISIR procedure.
- Raise audit record sheet.
- Maintain in-house calibration system.
- Carry out internal audits as requested by the quality director.
- Carry out external audits.
- Carry MSA studies annually with Q.D.
- Raise or complete 8D inspection report.
- Liaise with customer to either replace or rework parts.
- Investigate customer concern with works supervisor and establish root cause.
- Complete 8D report and return to customer.
- Update PPAP documentation if required.
- Update works instruction.
- Manage the company PPM quality objective.
- Continuous Improvement and Preventive Action Logs.
- Change Control system.
- Lessons Learned records.
- Cost of Quality records.
- Maintenance of the company’s plant and equipment.
- Maintenance of critical spares.
