Practice Accountant / Client Manager
Full-time Permanent
Based in North Wales
Join a forward thinking and fast-growing accountancy practice offering a full range of accounting and advisory services. We are looking for a Welsh speaking, proactive and reliable individual with solid practice experience to support our expanding client base. This role would suit someone qualified (or part-qualified) with several years of experience preparing accounts and handling tax compliance within a UK accountancy practice.
Responsibilities
- Prepare year-end accounts for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies
- Experience of farm accounts beneficial
- Maintain and reconcile client accounts, including control accounts
- Calculate accruals, depreciation, and other adjustments
- Submit VAT returns and assist with personal tax returns
- Carry out general bookkeeping and double-entry accounting
- Proofread accounts, tax returns and supporting documentation
- Assist with wider practice support and ad hoc accounting tasks
Requirements
- AAT qualified, part-qualified ACA/ACCA, or qualified by experience
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and personal tax
- Recent practice experience (ideally 3+ years)
- Confident user of online accounting software - especially Xero
- Strong IT skills (Excel, Word, etc.)
- Clear communication skills and a professional manner
- A team player who is confident dealing with clients
- Full UK driving license and access to a vehicle (client visits may be required)
- Competent Welsh speaker
