Join us as a Senior Programme Manager within the Maritime divison, where you will have the opportunity to work with cutting-edge technology in partnership with some of the most brilliant minds.The RoleThe Senior Programme Manager will be responsible for establishing, developing and delivering a strategically important defence programme supporting the UK's Defence Wide Radar Proposition (DWRP). The role will provide leadership across programme development, governance, stakeholder engagement and delivery execution, ensuring the successful integration of technical, operational, commercial and business case activities across multiple work packages.Day to day you will work closely with UK MOD stakeholders, Australian partners and industry participants to deliver the concept and assessment phase, generating the evidence, analysis and programme structure required to support future investment decisions in advanced radar capability.Your responsibilities will include:Lead the mobilisation and delivery of a complex multi-disciplinary programme initially comprising modelling and simulation, operational demonstration, industrial strategy, economic appraisal and programme office activitiesDevelop and implement the programme governance framework, controls, reporting structures and delivery strategyEstablish and lead an integrated programme office to coordinate activities across UK and international stakeholdersManage programme scope, schedule, budget, risks, issues and dependencies across all workstreamsLead the development of the programmatic solution, operating model and delivery organisation required to support current and future phases of the DWRPBuild and maintain effective relationships with senior MOD, military, government and industry stakeholdersEssential experience of the Senior Programme Manager: Demonstrable experience managing large, complex defence, government or national infrastructure programmesTrack record of establishing programme governance, controls and delivery organisationsExperience leading multi-disciplinary teams across technical and business domainsDesirable qualifications for the Senior Programme Manager:Professional programme management qualifications (MSP, APM, PRINCE2 or equivalent)We value difference and we don’t have a fixed idea when it comes to background or education, provided you can show the required level of experience and willingness to learn then we would like to hear from you.This role is 37 hours per week and can be based out of our Portsmouth (PTP) facilities with an average attendance of 3 days per week onsite.PTP Portsmouth Technology Park (PTP) is one of QinetiQ’s key facilities, focusing on advanced technology development and engineering services.
