Responsibilities

  • Design, deploy, and maintain enterprise monitoring and vulnerability management solutions.
  • Operate autonomously to ensure proactive issue detection, performance optimisation, and integration of monitoring with incident and patch management workflows.
  • Act as a monitoring subject‑matter expert, influencing strategy, standards, and best practices.
  • Maintain and expand tools such as SolarWinds, Splunk and Azure Monitor.
  • Evaluate and recommend enhancements to monitoring toolsets, including emerging technologies and open‑source platforms.
  • Lead cross‑functional monitoring projects, including toolset upgrades, integrations, and service improvements.
  • Maintain virtual server estates, system software and ensure system security, updates and availability.
  • Use PowerShell or similar for automation tasks and coordinate patching across infrastructure.

Essential Experience

  • Previous experience in monitoring enterprise IT environments.
  • Ability to manage multiple incidents simultaneously and lead resolution of complex issues.
  • Previous scripting experience in PowerShell.
  • Experience with patch management and vulnerability scanning tools.
  • Experience leading monitoring and observability projects across infrastructure, applications and user experience domains.
  • Ability to correlate infrastructure metrics with business service performance.

Essential Qualifications
