Join us as a Building Services Engineer (Mechanical Bias) within our Building Services team. This role is based at our MoD Rosneath site, with responsibility for supporting seven nearby QinetiQ locations, all within a close distance of each other. You will have access to a company vehicle for site-to-site travel, as well as overtime opportunities.
The Role
As a Building Services Engineer (Mechanical Bias), you will ensure the safe and efficient operation of facilities, mechanical plant and building systems across Roseneath and surrounding local sites. Your work enables the continued delivery of critical programmes that support the UK's national interest.
You will carry out pre-planned maintenance, corrective repairs and reactive work across a variety of mechanical building systems.
Your Responsibilities Will Include
- Delivering planned, preventive and corrective mechanical maintenance
- Maintaining site services, plant and building infrastructure
- Providing specialist mechanical support on plant and equipment
- Breaking down complex tasks and delivering against maintenance schedules
- Participating in the on‐call rota (1‐in‐3 rotation)
Essential Experience Of The Building Services Engineer
- Strong mechanical bias within building services
- Experience in mechanical plant, plumbing, HVAC, or facilities maintenance
- Background in FM, estates or multi-site maintenance environments
Essential Qualifications Of The Building Services Engineer
- Engineering/Technical qualification (Apprenticeship or NVQ Level 3 in a mechanical discipline)
- Good working knowledge of pressure systems and applicable legislation
- Competent user of Microsoft Office
- Strong problem‐solving and decision‐making abilities
- Full clean driving licence (required for multi‐site coverage)

This role is 37 hours per week, based at MoD Rosneath. Company vehicle provided for travel across the seven nearby sites.
