The Role
As a Senior Project Manager within Facilities Delivery, you will play a critical role in enabling the successful delivery of operational and programme outcomes across Portsdown Technology Park (PTP), ensuring facilities, resources and support services are delivered safely, efficiently and effectively within a complex technical environment. Day‑to‑day, you’ll lead the coordination and delivery of facility services supporting multiple programmes and stakeholders across the site. Working closely with Operations, Engineering and Programme teams, you’ll manage budgets, forecasting, resource planning and service performance, while ensuring operational priorities, maintenance activities and facility demands are effectively balanced. You’ll build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, resolve scheduling and operational conflicts, oversee governance and reporting activities, and help ensure critical infrastructure and services remain aligned to customer and programme needs within a secure and highly regulated environment.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Managing delivery of facilities services in support of project outcomes and KPIs
- Maintaining financial forecasts and managing the facility budget
- Leading stakeholder engagement across customers, suppliers and internal teams
- Supporting conflict resolution and prioritisation within the facility
- Leading financial reporting and performance tracking for the facility
- Ensuring governance and compliance with the QinetiQ Operating Framework
Essential experience of the Senior Project Manager
- Demonstrable experience in a project management role (5+ years)
- Experience managing budgets, forecasts and financial performance
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
- Experience using project management and financial reporting tools
- Ability to manage competing priorities and resolve conflicts effectively
- Experience working in a service delivery or operational environment
Essential qualifications for the Senior Project Manager
- APM Qualification or equivalent
This role is 37 hours per week and primarily based at our Portsdown Technology Park (PTP) site. Due to the nature of the role, the successful candidate will be expected to work mainly onsite. Travel to other QinetiQ and customer sites will also be required.
