As a Head of Site, you will be responsible for the Portland Bill site and to act as the Service Manager for the onsite facilities. Much of our Magnetic Assessment Services take place from the facility, regularly being used by our customers, both private and public. Day-to-day, you’ll be leading the site and managing the Site Leadership Team, acting as the single QinetiQ focus for all site matters and ensuring that all necessary security and commercial arrangements have been put in place. You will also be responsible for the site infrastructure and ensuring the health, safety and environment requirements for operations on the site are met.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Ensure trials planning and scheduling is undertaken effectively, including preparing future bids
- Establishing and maintaining the viability of the site as a safe and secure work environment
- Maintaining the site emergency response plan and leading the response
- Maintaining effective channels of communication and liaison with all QinetiQ and local stakeholders
- Input to and drive forward Maritime Ranges strategy
Essential experience of the Head of Site:
- Several years stakeholder influencing and management experience and be community orientated.
- Experience in managing relationships with contractors and site stakeholders including Estates, and guard service
- Demonstrable track record of successful site or facility management
Essential qualifications for the Head of Site:
- NEBOSH / IOSH Managing safely is desirable
This role is 37 hours per week based at Portland Bill. Hybrid working patterns are available.
