The Role
- As a Senior Systems Engineer, you will play a critical role in delivering and supporting the through-life technical delivery of specialist Test & Evaluation equipment and facilities across MOD Land Ranges in the UK.
- Day-to-day, you'll lead and contribute to multidisciplinary projects, working on system upgrades, integration, testing and acceptance of facilities, vehicles, control, surveillance and data systems.
- Leading the technical delivery of test & evaluation system development projects to time, cost and quality.
- Delivering systems engineering outputs across the project lifecycle including proposals, requirements, integration, test and transition into service.
- Engaging with internal and external stakeholders to refine requirements, identify solutions and manage technical risk.
- Planning and overseeing integration, installation and acceptance activities including IT, Safety and Security systems.
- Producing supplier statements of work, tender documents and acceptance criteria.
- Mentoring junior Engineers and support capability growth.
Essential experience of the Senior Systems Engineer:
- Proven experience leading multidisciplinary systems engineering projects.
- Experience delivering systems in safety-critical or regulated environments.
- Experience producing technical artefacts, requirements and delivering certified outcomes.
- Ability to manage stakeholders and technical delivery across complex programmes.
- Experience in integration, testing, and transition into service of complex systems.
- Knowledge of the systems engineering lifecycle and engineering governance.
Essential qualifications for the Senior Systems Engineer:
- Degree-level qualification in a relevant engineering discipline (e.g., Systems, Mechanical, Electrical, Aerospace, Civil).
- Chartered Engineer (CEng) or equivalent professional status.
- Evidence of experience in systems engineering or equivalent professional training.

This role is full-time and can be based at one of our locations (Amesbury, Farnborough, Sevenoaks or Shoeburyness). Travel to other QinetiQ and customer sites will be expected.
