We are seeking a Management Accountant for the UK Defence function at our Farnborough site.

Role

As a Management Accountant, you will provide support to the Deputy Financial Controller working with the Engineering Delivery Partner, partners and stakeholders, focusing on the financial and reporting aspects of the EDP contract and delivering key support to the Air business.

Responsibilities

  • Single Source Regulations Office (SSRO) Reporting including Defence Contract Analysis & Reporting System (DefCARS) completion & statutory reporting
  • Monitoring & validating contract values, billing/milestone management & cost codes
  • Supporting the production of invoicing & cost validation
  • Providing reports to the DE&S Delivery Teams
  • Top‑level understanding of the P&L and Balance Sheet, and providing detailed commentary to FC, DFC and other stakeholders
  • Capital expenditure monitoring where applicable

Essential Experience

  • Knowledge of SAP & Microsoft Office, especially Excel
  • Project/Cost Centre accounting experience
  • Proven ability to prioritise tasks and meet tight deadlines in a structured and efficient manner

Essential Qualifications

  • Qualified/part qualified accountant – Studying towards CIMA, ACA, ACCA or AAT
  • Demonstrable experience in a similar role if not yet qualified

Location & Working Hours

This role is 37 hours per week based at our Farnborough site and is hybrid‑based with an average expectation of 3 days per week onsite.
