The Role
As a Cyber Specialist you will join a team providing cutting edge solutions in real-time operational mission environments. Day-to-day, you will be working within a team who work with the latest innovations, providing solutions to complex problems. Planning and executing advanced red team engagements, simulating real-world attack scenarios to assess and enhance the organisation's security posture.
Responsibilities:
- Identifying and exploiting vulnerabilities in infrastructure, applications, and operational processes
- Developing realistic attack scenarios, leveraging tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs) from real-world adversaries
- Bypassing defensive measures such as firewalls, EDRs, IDS/IPS, and other security tools to compromise target systems
Essential Experience:
- A good understanding of national security expectations and personal security behaviours
- Knowledge of Windows security telemetry and associated evasion techniques (Kernel Callbacks, Minifilter drivers, ETW Ti, etc.)
- Proficient understanding of Kernel and User-mode implant technology
- Expertise in covert communication techniques for evading detection
- Experience in testing cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP) for vulnerabilities and misconfigurations
- Familiarity with common red team and offensive security tools (e.g., Cobalt Strike)
- In-depth knowledge of Windows security internals and key security mechanisms (e.g., Credential Guard, Protected Process Light, etc.)
Desirable Experience:
- Previous experience of working in a national security environment/culture
- Defence experience or experience of working in cultures driven by mission focus and expertise
- Prior experience of cyber operations
- Ability to understand synthetic environments, modelling and simulation
- Previous war gaming experience
Essential Qualifications:
- Offensive Security Certified Expert (OSCE3)
- CREST Certified Red Team Specialist (CCRTS)

This role is 37 hours per week based at our Malvern site and is fully on-site. Travel to other sites will be required. Please note eDV clearance will be required for this role.
