We were recently crowned Employer of the Year at the British Ex-Forces in Business Awards 2023. We have been listed as one of the ‘100 Best Large Companies to Work For’ in the UK and Midlands by Best Companies several times as well as achieving ‘Best Companies 3 Star Accreditation’ and a rating of ‘world-class’ for our employee engagement on a number of occasions. As part of a unique and specialist defence company, our friendly team consists of experienced and highly capable individuals, working together with a mature ‘can do’ work ethic. Our central business functions are located in an easily accessible, bright and modern head office to the west of Lincoln, alongside our mission systems team, while the majority of our operational specialists are embedded alongside our Defence customers.

Due to the continued success and growth of Inzpire as the UK Military White Force provider of choice, we are seeking exceptional individuals with flying expertise in Close Air Support (CAS) to work with our Air Ground Operations School customer in North Yorkshire (formally JFACTSU).

We are looking for expertise in the following key areas:

  • Knowledge and experience to accurately emulate and replicate all UK and coalition partner CAS capable platforms during live and synthetic exercises and within both contested and uncontested environments.
  • Ability to accurately represent both UK and NATO CAS Tactics, Techniques and Procedures within a synthetic and live environment.
  • Knowledge to design, build, deliver and update ground school lessons including (but not limited to): basic weapons employment, CAS platforms and capabilities and CAS platform sensors.
  • Have a working knowledge of and ability to apply UK governing CAS principles (as examples Rules of Engagement and the Law of Armed Conflict).

We are looking for a truly exceptional, professionally credible, ‘hands on’ aircrew CAS expert. The successful individual will have recent operational experience, expertise in the employment of multi-role air platforms and an excellent instructional pedigree.

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate evidence to support the following requisite skills and traits:

ESSENTIAL

  • A suitably qualified and experienced CAS subject matter expert.
  • Have been UK, US / NATO military Aircrew.
  • Fixed Wing or Rotary Wing CAS operationally qualified.
  • Possess exceptional communication skills.
  • Be willing to embrace the Inzpire work ethic of loyalty, flexibility and consistently delivering above and beyond our customer’s expectations.

  • Recognised instructional qualification (QWI, EWI, QHTI, etc).
  • Current UK instructional qualification (e.g Defence Train the Trainer (Fly) or equivalent).

Due to the nature of elements of the role, the successful applicant must be a UK National and may be required to successfully complete National Security Vetting which may require criminal record, security service and credit reference checks; qualification will also normally require a minimum UK residency of at least 5 years.
