The Role
We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Infrastructure Engineer to join our innovative team at Inzpire LTD. Leveraging your deep expertise in hardware, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams for fault resolution and to support product design, ensuring that solutions meet the highest standards of performance, reliability and security. As a Level 4 Infrastructure Engineer you will be working as part of a small multi-skilled engineering team supporting the delivery of a secure mission critical Communication Information System. You will be based onsite at RAF Leeming Mon-Fri 8-5 as well as providing out of hours support as part of an on-call rota.
The Person
- Essential Expertise in physical server hardware architecture (HPE ProLiant / Dell PowerEdge)
- Expertise in network storage solutions – SAN / NAS.
- Strong experience in physical network hardware architecture (Cisco).
- Strong experience of virtualised environments including installation, configuration, and management. (VMware, Hyper-V etc).
- Strong experience of Microsoft environments (365, ADUC, GPO, Certificate Services).
- Expertise in Windows Server 2019 onwards.
- Installing and configuring backup solutions (Veeam etc).
- Network understanding (Basic routing, subnetting, VLANs, Firewalls).
- A collaborative mindset, with the ability to share knowledge and contribute to a positive team environment.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Commitment to continuous improvement and staying current with industry trends and technologies.
- Exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills, with a proven track record of troubleshooting complex issues in a timely manner.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, enabling effective collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
Highly Desirable
- Significant experience as a 3rd line IT infrastructure engineer actively supporting the technologies listed above.
- Experience supporting data centre environments.
- Excellent communication skills to liaise with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience applying ITIL processes and service management principles.
Security/Clearance
Due to the nature of elements of the role, the successful applicant must be a UK National and may be required to successfully complete National Security Vetting which may require criminal record, security service and credit reference checks; qualification will also normally require a minimum UK residency of at least 5 years.
