Join us as a Programme Manager for Maritime Estates at one of south coast facilities, where you will have the opportunity to work with cutting-edge technology in partnership with some of the most brilliant minds.The RoleThe purpose of the role is to lead and deliver Specialist Construction, Civil Engineering and Estate Management programmes across QinetiQ’s Maritime Estate, to ensure a high level of service delivery resulting in successful outcomes to programme and cost. This will involve leading Programmes for both internal and external stakeholdersThe successful candidate will be able to demonstrate a broad breadth of experience managing projects and programmes across building & civil engineering projects, electrical and mechanical installations, delivering to time constraints and budget. The role will require travel to various sites across the QinetiQ Estate.Your responsibilities will include:Development and maintenance of positive engagement with programme customers, partners and supplier both internal and externalResolving conflicts (including prioritisation calls) within the programme and collaborating across QinetiQLead and deliver a defined Programme of major construction projectsDefine and maintain under review the overall aims, objectives and risks of the Programme, together with its specific priorities, and the overall scope of the Programme; including monthly management reportingDelivery of the Programme outcomes, to agreed baseline (customer satisfaction, time, cost, quality, cash and sales)Leadership; being able to establish the vision and direction for the programme (in line with the ISBP), to influence and align others towards this common purpose, and to empower & inspire people to achieve successEssential experience of the Programme Manager: Extensive experience in a construction project/programme management environment managing complex projects from inception to completionExtensive experience of the Construction, Design Management (CDM) Regulations and must have acted as client or similar role on a construction related projectExcellent experience of construction contracts (NEC) and construction procurement methodsDesirable qualifications for the Programme Manager:A professional construction qualification in the form of degree, accreditation (APM, Prince 2) or Chartered statusWe value difference and we don’t have a fixed idea when it comes to background or education, provided you can show the required level of experience and willingness to learn then we would like to hear from you.This role is 37 hours per week and is based out of our south coast facilities on a hybrid working pattern of 3 days per week on average, onsite.PTP Portsmouth Technology Park (PTP) is one of QinetiQ’s key facilities, focusing on advanced technology development and engineering services.
