The Role:
As a Graduate Cryptosecurity Engineer you will support all stages in the delivery of customer focused research, consultancy design and analysis in the field of cryptography and key management. Dayâtoâday, you will provide technical capability through supervised practical experience; and contribute to secure system development under guidance from senior engineers.
Your Responsibilities:
- Performing routine cryptographic engineering tasks with growing independence, applying cryptographic principles to analyze systems, support solution development and follow standard engineering processes.
- Producing clear, accurate technical analysis, reports and presentations that focus on customer problems and solutions and support testing, interoperability and conformance activities in the crypto security domain.
- Working with senior staff to identify and document security requirements, raising issues and risks when needed.
- Communicating effectively with colleagues and stakeholders contributing technical input to small proposals and tasks.
Essential Experience:
- Foundational understanding of cyber security, its significance, principles, concepts, threats and vulnerabilities.
- The ability to work as part of a team and collaborate effectively.
- Previous experience with cryptography or cybersecurity (academic, internship or industrial).
- Strong analytical and communication skills.
- An understanding of how highâgrade crypto and key management is employed to achieve security outcomes.
Essential Qualifications:
- Degree level education or equivalent.
This role is 37 hours per week based at Malvern and is fully onâsite.
The Malvern facility is noted for its work in electronic warfare, surveillance and complex system integration, contributing significantly to the UKâs defence capabilities. Developing technologies for military and civilian applications, including sensors, communications and cyber security.
