The Role
As a Deputy Commercial Manager, you’ll have a role that is out of the ordinary, where you will provide commercial support to a diverse portfolio of projects, across multi-disciplined Integrated and Delivery Teams as required in accordance with the established Business and Commercial strategy. Day-to-day, you’ll contribute to our Business Winning strategy, which includes all aspects of legal (T’s and C’s), pricing, Intellectual Property and negotiation, in addition to contributing to effective and efficient contractual management of contracts within the portfolio.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Working as an individual Commercial contributor across and in support of a broad Business Portfolio or as part of an Integrated Capture / Delivery Team
- Responsible for all aspects of commercial support including customer bidding and contracting, risk management, change control, contract and document drafting, and dispute resolution
- Use commercial acumen on tenders and a variety of contracts which range from standard to typically non-standard, of medium to higher complexity, or supporting senior commercial staff on major projects or campaigns
- You will also manage your own project portfolio
Essential experience of the Deputy Commercial Manager:
- Demonstrates a general commercial acumen on tenders and variety of contracts which range from standard to typically non-standard, of medium to higher complexity, or supporting senior commercial staff on major projects or new business campaigns
- Demonstrable experience in a similar commercial role
- Good experience influencing pricing strategy (pay, performance and incentivisation)
Essential qualifications for the Deputy Commercial Manager:
- Holds university degree in relevant field or comparable work experience in a relevant role
- Accredited to IACCM (WCC) member status or higher, or MCIPS qualified
