The Role
As a Commercial Manager, you will be a strategic thinker, supporting the overall business objectives for growth and innovation in the UK and internationally, demonstrating an awareness and forethought beyond the task at hand.
Day-to-day, you’ll provide commercial and contracts advice and support within multi-disciplined Integrated Delivery Teams and Integrated Capture Teams. This will be an exciting role with responsibility for providing commercial and contracts support to a diverse portfolio of projects from initial opportunity identification through to contract completion.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Managing your projects portfolio
- Managing the full end-to-end contract lifecycle
- Providing commercial and contracts leadership and support
- Supporting contract management activities
- Ensuring continued customer satisfaction
Essential experience of the Commercial Manager:
- Significant experience working as a Commercial Manager
- A strong understanding of contract management
- Experience leading negotiations
- Experience developing / managing complex contracts
Essential qualifications for the Commercial Manager:
- University degree or comparable previous work experience
- Accredited to IACCM (WCC) Advanced Practitioner status or higher, or MCIPS qualified

This role is 37 hours per week based at either our Farnborough or Portsmouth site. Hybrid working patterns are available. Travel to other QinetiQ and customer sites will be expected.

Portsmouth Technology Park (PTP) is one of QinetiQ’s key facilities, focusing on advanced technology development and engineering services. It is dedicated to research and development, ensuring that complex systems are designed, integrated, and tested effectively to meet operational requirements. The facility utilises sophisticated modelling and simulation techniques to analyse and predict performance.
