We are looking for a Commercial Portfolio Lead to provide commercial leadership across Maritime, Land, Communications, Information, Air, Space, and International projects. You will oversee Integrated Capture and Delivery Teams, design and implement local commercial strategies, and drive transformation initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Lead commercial staff within a portfolio area.
- Design and implement a commercial engagement strategy aligned with portfolio and business strategy, including people, processes, and tools.
- Provide thought leadership and hands‑on management of departmental or functional improvement initiatives.
- Lead key strategic relationships inside and outside the business, fostering excellent commercial interfaces and acting as escalation point.
- Accountable for commercial governance on proposals and contracts of medium to high complexity.
- Lead major changes and strategic captures within the portfolio, offering cross‑boundary support to other portfolios.
Essential Experience and Qualifications
- Experience driving pricing strategy (pay, performance, incentivisation) in contract.
- Able to influence decision‑making on business budgets and financial objectives.
- Mentor others on expert drafting skills and methods across contracts.
- Experience shaping negotiation strategies and delivering complex negotiations to senior stakeholders.
- A thought leader capable of inspiring and implementing new ways of working.
- Self‑starter and role model for accountability, leading others to be accountable within the portfolio.
